Antony Lucchesi (born in Edinburgh, 1999) is an Artist based in Glasgow, Scotland.
He Graduated from The Glasgow School of Art in 2021 where he studied Sculpture and Environmental Art.
With an interest in methods of documentation, our relationship with the spaces we occupy and how artists share their creative process, Antony works across a variety of mediums informed by a cyclical process of experimentation and reprocessing of lens based media.
This method of working has been expressed as non-linear moving image works, prints, and more recently interactive video.
Antony has recently presented his first solo show ‘Obscured Landscapes’ at Cairn Gallery (2023), and group shows including The Royal Scottish Academy’s Open Exhibition (2021/22) and New Contemporaries (2023), along with various group shows around Glasgow over the past 5 years. He was also selected as part of Cove Park’s Youth Arts Bursary (2022/23) and Tinderbox’s Room to Play Programme (2023).
Antony recently a website called ectype, a curated platform of open source resources for creatives. The first collection of resources that is available is a mix of audio field recordings, 3D scans, videos and images made while on site at Cove Park, where Antony was selected as part of their Youth Arts Bursary Programme.
